Farewells...

Last week I bid final farewells to two close friends who also happened to be superb musicians: John Redgate and Paul Triff.

One of the nicest guys you would ever meet, John was an accomplished songwriter and player who appeared on Broadway in Beatlemania playing the Paul character to Marshall Crenshaw's John. John also worked for a number of years as the house pianist at LA's Comedy Store. John died after a long struggle with cancer.

Paul was my roommate on the road for years as we traveled through the US as members of Chris Berardo's crew the Desberardos. He also toured extensively with the likes of Rick Danko and Mick Taylor, to name a few. He was also one of the funniest people I ever knew.

May you rest in peace my brothers...
